Dueling Guide: Priest vs Priest

The mirror match usually comes down to mana regen. Most priests mana burn each other oom, and then wand. Toss in a psychic scream here and there, a few renew dispels, and you have a funtastical time.

Some really quick tips that might help you though.

1. Use Rank 1 spells. Use Rank 1 Renew to see if the other priest dispels it. Rank 1 Shadow Word: Pain is also good for this.

2. Try to save your Shadowfiend for after the other priest uses his. That way you know he has nothing left. When the other priest uses his Shadowfiend, shield yourself so he doesn't get any mana back. If he does the same thing for your shadowfiend, dispel the bubble.

3. Try to stay out of the FSR for as long as possible. By the end, keeping a renew on yourself and wanding should get you back some decent mana, and hopefully you have more regen than the other priest.

If it's a shadow priest, try to bait out a silence by casting Greater Heal sooner than you need it. Once the silence is over, try to fear him and then get a heal off. (Hopefully you don't get blacked out.) Dispel the dots if you can, but sometimes it isn't worth it since they have so many. Shadow priests typically don't have the best regen, so if you're a holy priest and you are both oom, you should win the regen duel.

Keys: Mana burn, dispel, rank 1 spells for a dispel happy priest, save your shadowfiend for when you really need him, fear when you can, and regen as much mana as you can.
